The Fishes of Darya’s Hair
This installation features a girl named Darya, a name that means "sea" in Persian. Darya lives in a world where she is free to sing and let her hair flow freely in the wind, embodying an ideal of joy and liberation.
In front of this vibrant projection stand sculptures of modern houses, which at first glance, appear attractive and well-maintained. However, these facades invite a deeper investigation. Much like Iran's exterior, these houses conceal the struggles within. To truly understand the lives of Iranian women, one must look beyond appearances. This contrast challenges viewers to explore the deeper truths and realities of women's rights in Iran.
